What will happen to the 6214?

Would be nice if we had something different to look at on the New Haven to Springfield Line. Same old, same old every day. No "Holiday Specials", or just something new every once in a while to photo shoot. First things they need to do is fix up those Shabby Springfield and Hartford Stations and rail yards, and get the track doubled and fixed up from Springfield to Hartford. How many times can we photo the same CT RAIL and Amtrak lines and trains from Springfield to New Haven. Other ideas also..

This is interesting news. What is "SMS" please? Welded rail? Does this mean through trains will start running again between Voorheesville and Delanson to points east and west? There has been no through traffic on the line for many years, since the D&H abandoned the segment between Albany and Voorheesville, and the diamonds were removed across the West Shore (now CSX) track in Voorheesville. There has only been sporadic rail traffic from Delanson to the industrial park in Guilderland Center.

Great video to watch! I've never ridden on the Eurostar, but I have ridden the Javelin that uses the same High Speed tracks from London as far as Ashford International. Was interesting to recognise some of the places you travelled through! Glad you enjoyed our train!

Henry Hobson Richardson for whom Richardsonian Romanesque architecture is named and his successor firm, Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge designed the Boston and Albany stations. The Highlands branch on which the D lines runs was a B&A line. The stations at Newton Highlands and Newton Centre are the only 2 Richardson stations still in use. The old Woodland station is on the adjoining golf course and is used as a storage shed.
